Position
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a part of forming, developing and taking ownership of a brand new Floating Support service within BCHA Young People Services. The post holder will work with a caseload of clients across the BCP area supporting them to maintain and develop their independence within the community and assist the individual to maintain their tenancy, prevent isolation and realise aspirations.
We are looking for a motivated, positive and organised person to join our Young People\'s Support Team in the BCP area. We believe in equality, the importance of every individual and the right to be valued and treated with dignity and respect working within the BCHA Psychologically Informed Framework.
Position
As a Floating Support Worker, the post holder will form positive, trusting and respectful relationships to support clients to achieve their independence goals. Working across the BCP area you will meet with other services and professionals to develop a joined up holistic service and maintain strong working relationships with external services including DWP, housing, education services, health and mental health services employers, estate agents, community projects, food banks etc.
As a valued member of a dedicated and strong team you will genuinely make a real difference, by providing tenancy support, information and advice to individuals to take control and lead independent, fulfilled lives. We also support with accessing health care, maximising income, budgeting, debt management and signposting to other services. Our aim is to reduce and/or prevent homelessness.
The post holder will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Previous experience of working with young people and /or other socially excluded people, housing and benefits and have a good understanding of safeguarding issues is essential.
