Wayman Education is seeking a dedicated Year 6 teacher for a highly-regarded and inspiring primary school in Reigate, Surrey. Year 6 teacher responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum to ensure all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
• Assess and monitor student progress, identifying areas where additional support may be required and implementing appropriate strategies to improve outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with fellow staff members, sharing best practices and adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
• Foster an atmosphere of accountability, responsibility, and respect within the classroom, promoting positive behaviour and proactively addressing any issues that arise.
• Embed a culture of inclusivity that celebrates diversity and supports all students, regardless of their abilities or background.
• Keep up to date with education developments and changes to the national curriculum to ensure that teaching and learning practices remain current and relevant.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• A proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality and engaging lessons.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Strong behavioural management skills with a passionate and creative approach to student engagement.
• A collaborative mindset that supports a team environment.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and improving your teaching practice.
• An enthusiasm for working with students, parents, and other stakeholders to help create a welcoming and supportive school community.
