Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard and ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Yard Worker will play a crucial part in supporting our warehouse operations and ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and effectively.

The pay is dependent on experience.

Duties

Operate telehandlers and other machinery to load and unload materials safely. Build and organise pallets for shipping and receiving processes. Assist in the management of warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels. Perform heavy lifting of materials as required, adhering to safety protocols. Handle materials with care to prevent damage during transportation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard area. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the warehouse. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory movements. Customer service skills.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred. Proficiency in operating telehandler; relevant certification is an advantage. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance. Experience in shipping and receiving processes is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety regulations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
