Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials efficiently and safely within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Responsibilities - Operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse. - Load and unload goods from lorries and containers. - Ensure accurate shipping and receiving of products. - Maintain a clean and organised work environment. - Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment. - Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory movements. - Assist in materials handling tasks as required. - Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products safely. - Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals. Qualifications - Proven experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. - Valid forklift certification is essential. - Strong mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and repair. - Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes. - Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping. - Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. - Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. - A proactive approach to safety and compliance with health regulations.
