Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for helping to maintain an organised, safe, and efficient yard, supporting deliveries, assisting customers, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload goods safely and efficiently. Move, organise, and store materials around the yard. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Check incoming deliveries and report any issues. Assist customers with locating and loading products. Operate forklifts and other machinery (where trained). Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment (preferred but not essential). Forklift licence (preferred) -- training can be provided. Strong work ethic and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks. Punctual, reliable, and proactive attitude.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
