Job Description

We are recruiting in our Manchester Depot for a Skilled HGV Mechanic/Technician - Night Shift

Key Responsibilities:

To Inspect and maintain Our HGV Fleet to comply with legal &Company standards.

Prepare vehicles for MOT Testing and transport to Test Centre.

To record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each vehicle.

Repair Minor Accident Damage .

Carry out Fault Diagnosis.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work under pressure, to actively seek solutions to problems. Good verbal communication skills. Providing excellent customer service is paramount.

The candidate will work as part of a close team on site at our Manchester Depot.

Ability to work alone and as part of a team is a key requirement.

Requirements
HGV Licence C+E preferable but not essential
Commercial experience on HGV\'s is essential.
Qualifications required City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.

The role is working between 18:00-04:00 or 20:00-06:00 working 5/7 Shifts a week.

Flexibility is required to cover Holiday and Sickness.

The role is weekly paid based on a 47.5 hour contract, additional hours are paid at overtime rate and Saturdays are paid at 1.125 hourly rate & Sunday paid at 1.5 Basic Hourly Rate.
