Water Recycling Process Operator (Works Technician Process Controller)Salary \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa329,219 \xe2\x80\x93 36,525 depending on skills as you progress with us + standby allowance + potential increased overtime rate for Saturday + Sunday overtime) + the benefit of a company van for business useLocation \xe2\x80\x93 East ( We have 2 positions available , 1 covering Ipswich area and 1 covering Sudbury area)Full Time / PermanentHours \xe2\x80\x93 Our processes operate 24/7, whilst the working hours for this role are generally Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, 08.00 - 16.00, we can offer flexibility on the start and finishing times. Please note there is a requirement for standby and occasional weekend working which come with their own pay rates.Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.So if you are a hardworking, proactive and self-motivated individual who wants to learn new processes \xe2\x80\x93 with experience or believe you are ready for a new challenge - We want to hear from you!What\xe2\x80\x99s in it for you?A salary of up to \xc2\xa336,525 depending on skills as you progress with us.Competitive Pension scheme \xe2\x80\x93 Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 12% employer contributionPrivate Healthcare Scheme at no cost to youVirtual GP for your householdLife cover \xe2\x80\x93 8 x annual salary paid to dependants23 days holiday (rising with length of service )Bonus schemePlus lots of other benefits tooYour RoleThe Process Operator has a responsibility to ensure that our Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained within the relevant regulatory compliance \xe2\x80\x93 you\xe2\x80\x99ll do this by:Operating and maintaining our assets including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flowmeters, compressors and much morePerforming preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance such as lubrication on the systems above.Carrying out process sampling to ensure things are operating as they should be and escalating any issues.Complying with company safety policy & procedures as well as maintaining good housekeepingExploring and ensuring that we maintain the lowest possible energy demands without compromising complianceIn this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions. Due to harness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot be in excess of 113 kilograms and you will be expected to complete relevant occupational health checksAbout you \xe2\x80\x93
Background and ExperienceExperience of working in a process environment would be an advantage, however not essentialGood understanding of Health & SafetyMust have a Full UK Manual Driving LicenceTechnical SkillsCompetent with IT systemsProblem solver, with the ability to work quickly and using own initiativeInterpersonal SkillsExcellent team player, demonstrating an enthusiastic and proactive approachPossess good interpersonal skills, along with excellent organisational skills and job prioritisationGood communication, flexibility and reliability are essential for this positionInclusion at Anglian WaterJoin us and make a difference.
