Controller, Financial Reporting BRIGHTON
Current Need WORKING RECRUITMENT LTD are seeking a Controller, Financial Reporting professional in our Brighton SUSSEX Headquarters.
Job Summary: Will be responsible for reporting the financial results of assigned business locations (UK & Spain) to external accounting teams. Requires sharp analytical skills, a flexible mindset, & excellent communication skill. Establishes & maintains accounting policies & controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports & safeguarding the organisation's assets. Maintains accounting & financial records & reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory & management reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report the financial results of assigned business locations (UK & Spain) to external reporting team.
• Establish & maintain accounting policies & controls.
• Prepare year-end financial reports.
• Maintain accounting & financial records & reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory & management reports.
• Frequently contributes to the development of new financial practice & methods. Employs expertise as a generalist or specialist.
• Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Uses judgement within broadly defined policies & practices. Anticipates change & directs or redirects efforts.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field. Typically requires 3+ years of relevant professional experience
Critical Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required
• GAAP expertise required
• External, internal or financial reporting experience preferred
• Experience working with a diverse, global team
• Sharp analytical skills, a flexible mindset, & excellent communication skills.
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to engage & influence multi-level staff up to executive management
• Strong experience creating & analysing large amounts of data
WORKING Conditions: Traditional office environment located in central Brighton
Qualified candidates will have a multi-location experience, BA/BS in Accounting, with years of experience in Financial Reporting & US. GAAP Knowledge preferred.
