The Role



We're seeking an experienced WordPress Developer who can take projects from concept to completion with confidence and technical expertise. This role offers the perfect opportunity for a developer who's passionate about crafting clean, efficient code and creating outstanding digital experiences.

Core Responsibilities



Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch Create and implement content models using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Build scalable, secure, and optimised WordPress solutions Develop custom WooCommerce functionalities for e-commerce projects Implement responsive front-end solutions using modern development practices Conduct code reviews and maintain high coding standards Collaborate with designers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation

Technical Requirements



WordPress Expertise



Advanced custom theme development from scratch Plugin development and modification Deep understanding of WordPress core functionality Experience with WooCommerce customisation Proficiency in ACF for content modelling WordPress debugging and performance optimization Security best practices implementation

Design/Development Skills



Strong PHP knowledge and object-oriented programming Proficient using Figma Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript Experience with modern front-end frameworks (particularly Bootstrap) Version control with Git Command line and build tool proficiency Understanding of AWS and server architecture Database optimisation and management API integration experience

Additional Technical Skills



Experience with modern development workflows and CI/CD Understanding of SEO best practices Knowledge of web performance optimization Familiarity with web server configuration Experience with development and staging environments

Professional Qualities



Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset Excellent project management and time estimation skills Clear communication skills for client and team interactions Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders Proactive approach to keeping up with industry trends Multi-tasking capabilities to handle various projects and deadlines
