Primary Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Assistant Team Manager to lead and support a team of social workers responsible for child in need, child protection, and legal proceedings. Using the Signs of Safety Practice Framework and emphasizing a relationship-based approach, you will facilitate social workers in assessing the concerns and requirements of children, identifying strengths and safety within their networks, and collaboratively devising safety plans within the established legal framework.

Your role will also encompass regular supervision, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team, and participation in leadership sessions to enhance your own professional knowledge. The ideal candidate should possess prior management experience, exhibit a dynamic and analytical mindset, and demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities effectively to ensure the timely and safe well-being of the boroughs children and young people.
