Job Title: Winter driver

Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire

Rate: \xc2\xa320 per hour - Weekly pay

Standby & call out rate: \xc2\xa315 a shift Mon - Fri, \xc2\xa330 a shift Sat - Sun

Hours: Flexible days/nights - Call out/weather dependant - Zero Hour Contract

About the role

As a winter maintenance operative, you will be a key essential worker, driving gritting vehicles to spread salt onto the roads during colder days and nights, keeping the UK\xe2\x80\x99s roads moving.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Fitting a snow plough during adverse weather conditions
  • Maintaining relevant driver and vehicle records
What we need from you
  • HGV licence
  • CPC accreditation
Hours
  • Standby cover is based on 24 hours a day, over 7 days
  • The rota can be every week or alternate weeks, based on your availability
  • The winter contract runs from September to April, with the opportunity to return each year
