We're looking for a bar manager to join the team at Estuary wine bar in Manningtree, Essex. The bar has about 50 seating capacity with standing space too. We offer the standard bar drinks but highlighting in gins, fine wines & cocktails. We have been open for almost 5 years now and has a high standing within the local area for that cosy location for a pre/post dinner drink. We also host live music and local art exhibitions throughout the year.
We're looking for a manager who wants to build on what's already In place and bring new ideas. An Energetic and welcoming host who is the face of the business.
The successful candidate must have 2 years minimum bar management experience - experience in a high-volume venue is highly desirable.
Candidates must enjoy being a "hands-on" member of a team. All applicants must have a flexible approach to their work and be willing to work the hours required of the business. The bar manager will work a variety of shifts, on any 5 days from 7, on any day of the year.
The Role:
Plan, direct and oversee all bar operations including managing staff, ensuring product and service standards are met and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency
Run the bar independently
Take care of the bar, stock room and cellar
The candidate must have excellent knowledge of fine wines and cocktails
Assess development needs, train and coach staff
Delegate duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximise resources
Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards
Set and monitor quality and service standards for staff
Implement offers/deals to upsell stock levels
Organise and adjust staff rotas and schedules in accordance with available resources and labour regulations
Resolve customer complaints promptly
Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of bar area
Manage the GP/pricing and hit sales targets set.
The successful bar manager will receive:
31 - 34k depending on experience.
