Job Summary

We are seeking a CSCS skilled and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of building structures and the ability to work with various materials to ensure that windows are fitted securely and efficiently.

Duties

Install, replace, and repair windows in accordance with specifications and safety standards. Read and interpret schematics to determine the correct installation procedures. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting window frames. Work with masonry materials to ensure proper sealing and insulation around window installations. Perform plastering tasks as needed to finish installations neatly. Collaborate with carpenters to ensure structural integrity during window fitting processes. Conduct electrical work related to window installations, such as connecting automated window systems. Fabricate custom window frames as required for specific projects. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to window fitting. Strong understanding of masonry techniques for effective sealing and insulation. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately. Experience in plastering to ensure smooth finishes around windows. Basic electrical knowledge for integrating automated systems into window fittings. Skills in carpentry for working alongside other tradespeople on site. Competence in welding techniques for custom frame fabrication when necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Pay: 19.00-23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
