Our stunning home Bramhall Manor Care Centre, a purpose-built 71 bed care facility and is situated in the popular location of Bramhall Village, Stockport. The home meets all CQC requirements and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to our residents. We invest in our homes to enhance the experience of our residents. This includes OOMPH an award winning activities and wellbeing programme. We have also introduced electronic medication administration records and electronic care planning in all of our homes. In addition, Bramhall Manor is our second home to have acoustic monitoring and silent nurse call installed. We have achieved a 5* EHO rating in October 21\xe2\x80\x99. New Care has had a 0 agency usage for over 3 years as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care all of our staff are paid above national living wage.
At Bramhall Manor Care Centre we offer some intermediate care in association with the NHS. Some residents move to Bramhall Manor for a short period of rehabilitation following a stay in hospital. The team at Bramhall Manor work closely with the therapy team and find the work exceptionally rewarding.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring and motivated Wellbeing (Activities) Assistant in a Care Home to join our team to contribute to the creation of a caring and inclusive culture around therapeutic activities in the home. To deliver and support the Wellbeing Coordinator in developing a programme that has a whole team approach and forms a core part of the offering in the home. We have a 25 hour contract available with a competitive hourly rate \xc2\xa310.75 per hour paid for all staff regardless of their age! Shift times are 1000-1500 but may change to suit the needs of the business and are alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7Contribute to the creation of ongoing weekly activity programmes that ensure a wide range of opportunities are available to stimulate the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of all residents.
\xc2\xb7Provide an innovative programme so that residents can achieve extraordinary things, with their capabilities.
\xc2\xb7Motivate and guide other members of staff in the home to incorporate wellbeing and activity into their role wherever possible, with support and direction from the Wellbeing Coordinator.
\xc2\xb7Be familiar with a resident\xe2\x80\x99s life story and Wellbeing and Activity plan for each residents and contribute to that plan and that it is regularly reviewed.
\xc2\xb7Ensure adequate and up to date risk assessments are in place for all events and activities planned and undertaken in liaison with the Wellbeing Coordinator.
\xc2\xb7Understand the needs of people with the various conditions residents have in the home.
\xc2\xb7Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and experience required:
\xc2\xb7Experience of working with older people is essential.
\xc2\xb7Experience of delivering an activity programme is essential.
\xc2\xb7Evidence of the ability to assess, plan and evaluate the activity needs of older people is essential.
\xc2\xb7The ability to work individually and in a team is essential.
\xc2\xb7Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
\xc2\xb7Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively.
\xc2\xb7Be creative, imaginative and enthusiastic and have the ability to forward plan .
