Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Welding Operative to join our team. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for assisting in various warehouse tasks in our concrete pouring sheds and operating both power and hand tools.

Duties

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Welding of steel reinforcement cages Able to read drawing and make steel reinforced cages to a high standard Stripping out freestanding moulds and handling steel reinforcement cages. Fabricating concrete moulds. Pouring concrete and finishing units to a high standard. Cutting and bending reinforcing steel to be used in the production of concrete products. Operating power tools and hand tools. Working as a team to meet production standards and deadlines. Monitoring situations to adjust and maintain quality. Undertaking basic maintenance and regular equipment checks within the factories. Performing housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment. Undertaking any relevant training in line with own personal development needs and business requirements. Complying with the company's policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations. Assisting with additional duties when required.

Person Specification

Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred. Familiarity with power tools and hand tools. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings, desirable. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
