About Us:



Laker Vent is a leading mechanical contractor operating within the engineering construction industry. We specialise in the installation of highly regulated process piping systems, delivering high-quality solutions for blue chip clients across the Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, and Petrochemical sectors.

Role:



We are currently seeking Welders with proven experience in TIG welding of stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of producing high-quality welds that meet rigorous visual inspection and NDT standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards Work effectively as part of a site-based installation team Adhere to safety and quality procedures at all times Complete tasks to a high standard within agreed timeframes Assist in the preparation, fitting, and fabrication of pipework as required

Qualifications & Experience:



Level 3 Trade Apprenticeship in Welding or Pipefitting (or equivalent) ACE Card or equivalent professional certification Valid CCNSG, CSCS, or recognised equivalent safety passport Demonstrated experience with TIG welding in a site-based environment Familiarity with welding procedures and acceptance criteria for NDT and visual inspection Must have valid Right to Work in the UK

Special Requirements:



Offer of employment is subject to passing a weld test to verify competence and quality standards.

Contract Type: PAYE Only



Rates & Allowances:



NAECI categorised rates (2025):
o Basic: 22.44
o Rate A: 31.42
o Rate B: 40.39

Weld proficiency bonus applicable IBA Payment: 2.37/hour, released monthly upon achievement of KPI targets

Working Hours:



Average of 50 hours per week, including overtime and alternate weekend work

Travel & Expenses:



NAECI travel and accommodation allowances apply in line with current guidelines
