Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in our care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively in English and your understanding of care plans will be vital in delivering high-quality assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a caring nature, strong interpersonal skills and a desire to deliver person centred care.

Principal Responsibilities:

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and dressing whilst promoting independence. Assist residents to bed and also getting out of bed in the morning. Doing routine checks throughout the night as required and documenting after each check. Answering call bells. When the pager for the sensor equipment alerts act promptly and check on the individual. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Document any changes in residents' conditions and report them to the appropriate staff members. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Following night duty tasks which include domestic duties.
Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome those looking to start their career in care. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and colleagues. Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of the needs of individuals requiring assistance will be beneficial.
