What is the main purpose of the role?
Responsible for maintaining and maximising sales revenue within the weddings and extraordinary events department.
You will ensure all details on weddings and social events enquiries are recorded accurately and planned until the day of the wedding/event takes place.
You would also be conducting venue show rounds in professional manner.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Be the person in charge of all wedding enquiries and the main point of contact throughout the booking and planning process.
Ensure all enquiries are chased within the period agreed between the client and the venue and details are accurately recorded.
Ensure all contracts, deposits and event details are managed efficiently and within the deadlines given.
Meet with clients to run through details of forthcoming wedding, & events, future requirements and to present the venue facilities and services.
Create event sheets detailing all the client's final details and requests before the event.
Meet & greet clients when they arrive for their event.
To maintain a work environment which promotes pride and good morale
To consult with the rest of the team, ensuring all information is communicated effectively to the relevant departments.
All detailed function arrangements are actioned and co-ordinated through the event sheets.
Consult with clients to ensure that accurate details for each Wedding are obtained
Conduct professional venue show rounds
To anticipate customer needs wherever possible, and to react to these to enhance customer satisfaction
To be able to manage proactively, all client feedback, positive and negative, and record correctly
To be punctual, smart, polite, courteous, and helpful to clients at all times
Any other duty or task outside the normal daily or weekly routine, but within the overall scope of the position.
Skills required
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
Experience in an events sale's environment ideally
The ability to perform well under pressure and remain calm
The ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload
Diligence to ensure that every aspect of an event is perfect
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to think on their feet when unexpected events occur
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills both written, verbally and in person
Service focused with a commitment to delivering the highest standards
An elevated level of IT skills including outlook, word & excel
The ability to constructively challenge company procedures and recommend amendments which will have a benefit to the company.
