Warehouse Operative - Newry
Job Summary

Are you a Warehouse Operative who thrives on challenges, brings energy to every shift, and enjoys learning something new each day? We're on the lookout for individuals who are experienced warehouse operatives to join our warehouse team in Newry. You'll be part of a team whose responsibility within warehouse operations is, but is not limited to, picking orders, ensuring stock is received, stored, packed and transported according to the highest and safest standards.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Adhering to health and safety rules and regulations.
Complete daily pre-use forklift checks.
Picking, packaging and labelling orders for despatch.
Transport product orders to the designated despatch zone.
Quality checks on incoming goods.
Transport and put away incoming goods.
General housekeeping.
Manoeuvring a reach truck / counterbalance truck safely whilst carrying out the duties of the job in a busy warehouse.
Technical Competencies
Essential
Forklift Certification - Valid license for counterbalance & reach truck.
Self-motivated and organised individual.
Reliability & Punctuality - Must consistently show up on time and be dependable for scheduled shifts.
Health & Safety Conscious - Aware of workplace safety standards and committed to maintaining a safe environment.
Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
Be friendly, helpful, with a positive attitude and be a flexible team player.
Basic Numeracy & Literacy - Able to read labels, follow written instructions, and perform simple calculations.
Desirable
Previous Warehouse Experience - Familiarity with warehouse operations, picking/packing, or stock control.
Customer Focused - Understands the importance of accuracy and speed in getting orders right for end customers.
Good Record Keeping - Pays attention when logging data, checking items in/out, or completing paperwork.
Willingness to Learn - Open to training, upskilling, and taking on new responsibilities as the business grows.
