Job Description

Staffline is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work in Tesco Distribution Centre Magor, Newport.

A public transport link is available from Newport to the Tesco Magor depot - Newport city bus number 5.

The rates of pay are:
Days - \xc2\xa313.35 per hour
Nights - \xc2\xa316.69 per hour

Additional premiums for weekend rates up to \xc2\xa317.80 per hour are available.

Earn up to \xc2\xa323.37 per hour on bank holidays!

We are offering successful candidates\' new performance-based bonuses ranging from an additional 30p - \xc2\xa31 per hour.

This is a full-time role with flexible working hours and various shift patterns. The shifts available are:

- 6am to 2pm/2pm to 10pm rotating weekly (permanent AM not available)
- 2pm to 10pm
- 6pm to 2am
- 10pm to 6am

This is a full-time role that will not be suitable for students or workers looking for part-time due to the shift patterns and hours available.

Your Time at Work

The duties of a Warehouse Operative include::

- Using MHE equipment within a large racked and aisled warehouse to pick a variety of grocery goods - ranging from wine, sauces, shampoo and confectionary to pharmaceuticals and domestic cleaning equipment
- Stacking the items in roll cages on a LLOP guided by digital wrist AMC and trigger scanners
- Picking grocery items using LLOP and hand computer Colleagues are targeted and measured on performance pick rate and accuracy.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect Warehouse Operative will be physically fit due to some heavy lifting and repetitive actions in the picking and stacking of the cages.

They will show a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and awareness of other colleagues whilst driving and have a good mind for timekeeping to keep yourself on track.

No previous experience is necessary as a Warehouse Operative/Production Operative as full training is provided.
