Our distribution arm, SoSweet Direct, also supplies over 500 independent retailers across the South West and South Wales and is growing rapidly.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced and driven
Warehouse Operations Manager
to lead our central distribution hub. This is a pivotal role at the heart of SoSweet's operations -- responsible for overseeing the seamless flow of goods in and out of our warehouse to support our fast-paced, multi-channel business.You'll manage all aspects of warehouse activity, including goods-in, order fulfillment (e-commerce, wholesale and retail), inventory control, staffing and logistics -- all while ensuring performance remains within SLA and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations
across goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
Manage fulfillment across multiple channels
- DTC, TikTok Shop, wholesale (SoSweet Direct), and internal store replenishment.
Ensure SLA compliance
for hundreds to thousands of daily e-commerce and TikTok Shop orders.
Plan and allocate staffing effectively
, staying within strict labour budgets while meeting throughput targets.
Oversee goods-in processes
, managing deliveries ranging from single pallets to loose-loaded containers.
Liaise with delivery partners
to ensure on-time collections and deliveries across all services.
Maintain stock accuracy
and ensure best-before dates are tracked and managed correctly.
Utilise our digital Warehouse Management System (WMS)
to manage workflow, inventory and reporting.
Drive operational efficiency
through continuous improvement, staff training and process optimisation.
Champion health and safety
and compliance within the warehouse.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics management role within a fast-moving, multi-channel environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in scheduling and workforce planning.
Experience working with modern WMS systems.
Knowledge of FMCG operations, ideally including perishable or date-sensitive products.
Track record of managing high-volume e-commerce fulfillment operations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with retail, e-commerce, customer service and supply chain teams.
Comfortable working in a data-driven environment, using KPIs to monitor and improve performance.
Hands-on and proactive approach - willing to roll up your sleeves when needed.
