Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of dishes served. Process payments accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong guest services skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Basic culinary knowledge is advantageous for assisting in food preparation tasks. Understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance the dining experience for guests. A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to help others are essential traits for this role.
