W Lounge is W Edinburgh\xe2\x80\x99s social hub for guests and locals alike. Open from 9am until late, W Lounge will showcase the best of Gaelic produce in its food offering, complimented with innovative beverage concepts. ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the W Lounge Manager, as Waiter/Waitress you will be the key point of contact for our guests in W Lounge: making them feel welcome, taking their food and drink orders, making recommendations, and ensuring they have the best possible time while they are with us.

Joining the pre-opening team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s opening and beyond. We are looking for someone who is a people-person, loves the buzz of working in a busy venue, and is passionate about what they do!

As Waiter/Waitress, key aspects of your role will include:

• Have a detailed knowledge of the food and beverage on offer in W Lounge
• Be proactive in learning about our menus and the culture of the places they have been inspired by
• Have a keen interest in learning about cocktails
• Take food and drink orders and answer any questions on the menu selection, including how food has been prepared, any modifications that can be made, and what allergens are present
• Ensure guests enjoy their time with us, checking back for satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding questions, length of wait, product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass and silver throughout the day
• Restock items
• Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
• Follow health and safety guidelines and policies to report accidents and injuries
• Work as a team with the rest of the W Lounge team, supporting wherever necessary as directed by your manager
