Opportunity Overview:

We are looking for a talented candidate to join our European Energy, Power & Utilities investment banking team. The team is a leading advisor across the transatlantic energy value chain. The successful candidate will play a critical role in transaction origination and execution, business development, managing client relationships, working closely with senior bankers and leading / mentoring junior colleagues.

Reporting to the European Head of Power & Utilities, the Vice President's primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


Lead the execution of M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory mandates Oversee financial modeling, including valuation and transaction analyses Co-ordinate with cross-border energy colleagues of all seniority levels. Serve as a leader / mentor to junior colleagues and a trusted partner to senior business leadership Develop, maintain and manage relationships with clients - both in the context of transaction execution and business development Lead in the preparation and presentation of materials for client meetings including complex analyses and strategic recommendations Develop and leverage sector domain expertise and take a leadership role in certain industry verticals Ensure the accuracy and quality of work prepared by junior colleagues

Key Qualifications and Skills:

5+ years of relevant investment banking (or similar - ie. private equity or infrastructure funds) work experience Experience in and / or deep interest in the energy, power and utilities industry Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills with knowledge and experience utilizing key valuation methodologies in transaction execution Track-record of transaction execution on behalf of large corporate and financial sponsor clients across product types with a focus on M&A Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to succinctly articulate complex topics effectively to clients and colleagues Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject with outstanding academic qualifications Ability to speak another European language preferred
