Our branch is looking for a Trustee to join the existing team of trustees to help develop the branch and increase the support that it offers with regard to animal welfare in the local area. It would be helpful to have some previous experience in the following:
Organising meetings using online systems
Some understanding of Governance
Office and Administration Management
Working as a remote team
The successful candidate will need to be organised, as preparing for the regular monthly meetings, taking the minutes, and preparing for the AGM are the responsibility of the Secretary.
The role requires regular use of digital media to arrange meetings, store personal documents, use of social media to communicate with members of the public and to communicate with remotely located members of the trustee group. A good knowledge of the use of microsoft office and google workspace would be an advantage.
In conjunction with your fellow trustees, Head of Operations and Branch Partnership Manager (who is the liaison with the National RSPCA), adopt, monitor and review a branch development plan, setting out the short and long term aims of your branch.
The Secretary acts as the main contact point for all branch communications with the national Society, the branch committee and the branch membership.
The Secretary also works with the Head of Operations to actively promote and advertise to recruit new branch trustees and volunteers and to welcome them to the branch.
