Three in five of us will become a carer at some point in our life. Caring Together is an ambitious regional charity that provides emotional and practical support, advice and guidance to carers of all ages and their families, as well as opportunities to take a break from their caring role.
Our people
We employ around 150 people with approximately 50% of those delivering homecare in local communities. We are supported by a growing number of volunteers who contribute their time to our work.
Summary of the role
As part of a team you will help to provide support and welcome to carers and the people they care for in carer groups and activities at carers hubs. This will involve taking part in activities such as craft, music, information sessions and cafes for carers. It will also involve supporting carers to identify what help and support would make a difference in their caring role.

Where you will be based
Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
What you will do
Welcoming and supporting carers and their families in groups/activities.
Providing information and signposting to carers about the help and support they can access.
Undertake training and personal development to improve knowledge and skills around supporting carers and their families.
To follow and work to Caring Together policies and procedures at all times including health and safety, safeguarding, equal opportunities, code of conduct and confidentiality.
To act as an ambassador for Caring Together at all times.
To contribute to the 'housekeeping' of the carers hubs, including the setting up of rooms and maintaining a welcoming, clean, tidy and safe environment.
To report any concerns about the service or service users immediately to the carer advisor - communities.
Your commitment
Availability required: approximately four hours per month (TBC).
Carrying out the role in accordance with Caring Together policies.
Reporting any concerns about the service or service users immediately to your link supervisor.
A willingness to attend training and supervision/support meetings as agreed.
