Group Communications & Infrastructure

Looking to be part of non-stop innovation? Join our Group Communications and Infrastructure team and you\xe2\x80\x99ll work alongside experts in broadband, telephony, mobile, cloud and infrastructure. We\xe2\x80\x99re the team that designs, builds, supports and maintains the telecoms networks across the whole Sky Group. Together, we help Sky broadband, mobile and TV enter new markets by creating a single and secure infrastructure for the amazing content and services that keep our customers coming back for more.

  • You will be part of a knowledgeable Voice Network Support team working in a Lab and Operational environment supporting Sky\xe2\x80\x99s latest Telco Cloud Voice platform and internal telecom corporate network platforms, elements, systems and services
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a rapidly evolving and dynamic network, we currently support voice networks across UK and Italy and looking to expand into ROI
  • Provide 3rd line support for Sky\xe2\x80\x99s Fixed line/Mobile Voice networks
  • Providing support as required to the Sky Network Operations team for handling fault resolution for Sky Voice subscribers
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers in developing, implementing and validating solutions to production problems without customer impact
  • Proactively use critical metrics, stats, and analysis to spot and track trends and areas of concern, highlighting issues and taking appropriate actions to resolve
  • Work multi-functionally with other technology and business stakeholders to deliver change safely on the platform
  • Handle customer and partner concerns and resolve issues in accordance to agreed SLAs, identifying root cause of problems and outlining appropriate solutions
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge working with the Nokia IMS switch and Nokia Telco Cloud platforms, their architecture, interworking principles in order to support associated services
  • Strong previous background working in telecommunications industry. All candidates should have solid experience in the industry
  • Knowledgeable in voice protocols, including C7, SIP, H248 and Diameter
  • Excellent ability to work in a pressured real-time environment
  • Manage fault resolution escalated from other areas/departments of the company, third party suppliers and interconnect partners
  • Responsible for creating procedures such as troubleshooting guides, upgrade and migration processes used within the Sky organisation
  • Combination of analytical and technical skills including scripting, database technologies and web services
  • Superb communication skills both written and verbal with the willingness to learn new technologies and systems
