To perform daily duties as part of the Warehouse Team whilst working in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, food safety legislation and quality standards specified by our customers.

Duties will be varied from operating MHEs, de-racking, racking, picking, palletisation, loading as well as general housekeeping duties these may vary at times due to volumes and a requirement to work across departments may be needed.

Key Accountabilities
Operate a VNA truck
Complete the requirements of the daily picking sheets distributed by the Team Leader or Shift Manager
Communicate any stock shortages to the Team Leader so to allow the investigation into the short and the communication to internal and external customers.
Store any intake of product away onto the correct racking in accordance to stock rotation procedures and product shelf life specifications making sure that the correct scanning takes place in order to allow full traceability to take place.
To Maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) regulations. Making sure all accidents and near misses are reported at all times.
To respect and honour the sentiment of the Karro ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times.
Undertake stock rotation, making sure that we use FIFO at all times.
Load finished products onto vehicles as instructed.
Assist when required in internal / external audits.
Complete all relevant paperwork such as temperature records as instructed and or required, accurately and within time specifications and store / deliver to the correct personnel.
Only operate any tools, equipment, machines or vehicles for which you have received full training for and for which you have been signed fit to use.
Provide and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Ensure the achievement of daily departmental targets as determined by your line manager in a time effective manner.
Wear the correct personal protective clothing appropriate to each specific production area and appropriate to the task in hand.
Be familiar with qualified first aiders and the first aid procedure.
Ensure you are aware of all fire exits in all areas you may work and be sure to understand the emergency evacuation procedure and nominated fire marshals.
Adhere to all rules, processes and procedures in relation to the work process and conduct as set out by the Despatch department and other key disciplines such as Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Technical.
Any other reasonable request as instructed by your line manager.
Skills and Experience Required
Previous experience of driving a VNA truck (refresher training will be given)
General awareness of basic food hygiene.
Strong awareness of Health and Safety principles.
Fork Lift/Counter balance licence desirable but not essential.
Ability to communicate understand and follow instructions.
Experience in Warehouse and or picking environment.
