We know our people are the key to our success, and we're looking for a qualified HGV Technician Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver excellence in our vehicle maintenance operations.The RoleAs a VMU Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our Vehicle Maintenance Unit. Working as part of a close-knit team, your focus will be on meeting operational targets while maintaining vehicle safety and reliability to support our logistics and transport operations.About YouWe're looking for a proactive and results-driven professional with exceptional communication and organisational skills who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. You'll have a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities under pressure, a strong customer-focused mindset, and excellent planning abilities. A City and Guilds Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in HGV Maintenance is essential for this role.Key Accountabilities

  • Drive the achievement of shift KPIs by effectively organising team members for their delivery of their tasks
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Prioritise shift workloads to maximise resource efficiency
  • Adapt flexibly to perform additional shift coordination and Technician duties when required
  • Facilitate seamless communication across shifts
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained to meet Company and DVSA standards.
  • Coordinate with the Transport and Logistics departments to optimise vehicle availability.
  • Effectively manage the use of established sub-contractors.
  • Take ownership of personal development by identifying training needs and participating in a culture of continuous learning
  • Contribute to the promotion and sharing of "Best Practice" within Vehicle Maintenance.
