The Role
Are you passionate about education and technology? Do you thrive in providing exceptional support to students and staff? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a VLE Support Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enriching the learning experience of our students by maintaining and enhancing our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for the Undergraduate Laws programme. As a VLE Support Officer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining educational content and learning resources on the VLE. You will also take the lead in supporting online activities and assessments, guiding students through online tutorials and efficiently managing assessment processes on the platform. Additionally, your excellent communication skills will be put in use as you provide first-line technical support to users, promptly addressing enquiries and assisting both students and academic staff in using the VLE.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating engaging online learning resources and supporting activities, ideally within a Higher Education environment. As a front-line support professional, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively assist users in navigating the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Essential technical knowledge includes prior experience supporting Moodle in an educational context, preferably within Higher Education. Familiarity with a diverse range of tools and learning technologies. The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office. Typically, the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings.
