Purpose:
We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Visual Design Lead for a new and exciting fintech product. The impact and remit of the role is huge, with lots of opportunity for future growth. You\'ll be responsible for overseeing and creating visual design assets across the company. You\xe2\x80\x99ve a strong aesthetic sense, an intuitive understanding of brand and interface design, and are comfortable leading and mentoring other Visual Designers. You\xe2\x80\x99re an ambassador within the company for the brand & will help us bring to life our unique value proposition.
What you will be doing:
\xe2\x97\x8f Execute all stages from concept to final hand-off and work cross-functionally with other teams, such as Design, Product, Growth, Engineering and Operations, to unique and compelling visual designs,
\xe2\x97\x8f Creates, oversees and leads visual design across all touch points, including social media channels, marketing campaigns, web, printed materials and areas of our mobile app.
\xe2\x97\x8f Proactively manage the pipeline of current and future assignments of their team members (ensuring clear sequence and delivery dates), as well as appropriate and feasible workload distribution and capacity of the team (including managing stakeholders expectations).
\xe2\x97\x8f Mentor a small design team, to give design direction and unblock issues to ensure high quality work is produced and delivered on time.
\xe2\x97\x8f Set a world leading quality bar for visual design, ensuring it stands strong within the competitive brand landscape.
\xe2\x97\x8f Act as a strong brand guardian, ensuring all visual design across the company aligns with our brand and design system.
\xe2\x97\x8f Establish, promote, and support design principles, best practices and accessibility standards.
Requirements
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need:
\xe2\x97\x8f A well-crafted portfolio that demonstrates your experience in creating highly crafted visual design, across areas such as typography, illustration, animation, layout and working with photography.
\xe2\x97\x8f Visual design expertise demonstrated through design concepts, case studies, documentation, mockups and style guides.
\xe2\x97\x8f Experience with developing visual design systems for digital products.
\xe2\x97\x8f Innovative, user-centered visual design solutions.
\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, Adobe CC and Keynote.
\xe2\x97\x8f Good understanding of brand design and visual design, as well as marketing and brand experience.
\xe2\x97\x8f Able to work in a cross-functional environment and drive stakeholder alignment and communication.
\xe2\x97\x8f Experience designing for mobile apps or other interactive digital platforms.
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to navigate ambiguity to drive the design cycle and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Locations: Hybrid working. Office location can be London or Leeds.
