This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to join our busy and successful Visitor Programmes team. This would be a fantastic role for someone who has been working in a programming or event management position, with experience commissioning and delivering large and complex programming related to science, horticulture or the natural world.
Kew\xe2\x80\x99s highly successful Visitor Programmes team is expanding in order to deliver an exciting new calendar of public facing programmes. This role will be responsible for researching, commissioning, developing and evaluating a wide range of programmes to appeal to Kew\xe2\x80\x99s two million annual visitors.
You will work with the Head of Visitor Programmes and Exhibitions to bring together artists, designers and creative practitioners with world-leading scientists and horticulturists to create ground breaking programmes which drive visitor numbers and bring to life Kew\xe2\x80\x99s mission \xe2\x80\x9cTo understand and protect plants and fungi, for the wellbeing of people and the future of all life on Earth.\xe2\x80\x9d

Successful candidates will have a passion for creating engaging and innovative experiences for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. You will have significant experience in leading programmes in a similar venue to Kew, such as a botanic garden, museum, heritage venue, visitor attraction, gallery or similar. You will have experience translating complex ideas into enjoyable and engaging programming, working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have a track record of conceiving and delivering programmes on time and on budget while meeting stretching commercial targets.
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
