Your work environment

: Our European Information Systems and Services (EISS) department is looking for a

Data Scientist Databricks Engineer

on a VIE contract for 12-24 months based at Wantage (UK).


The VIE scheme (Volontariat International en Entreprise, International Internship Programme), is opened to any EU nationals. This role is specifically aimed at candidates eligible to join Crown as a VIE for a fixed-term contract between 12 up to 24 months.

Your mission in Crown:

With a good background in data engineering, you will support our IT Teams in the development and maintenance of data dashboards using Microsoft technologies (including Power BI, Azure Data Factory) and Databricks. The ideal candidate will be capable to learn or have a first experience in designing scalable data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and ensuring data quality and performance. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights to present complex information using data visualization techniques.

About you:

The successful candidate is a graduate in Information Systems or Computer/Industrial Engineering. You are fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills. You have excellent analytical problem-solving skills. Integrity, attention to detail, service and goal oriented are key behaviours required. You have a strong understanding of the IT role in a business environment, existing knowledge of data engineering would be an advantage as a robust knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Power BI, Azure Data Factory).


You are an effective team player, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a continuous improvement mind-set. SAP and Databricks knowledge a plus. Training will be provided.
