St Cuthbert\'s Church is a warm and welcoming church located in Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire.
Fired by the love of God, our mission is to share God\'s love with the community and to see lives transformed through a lifelong relationship with Jesus. We have a strong evangelical tradition of Bible teaching and preaching, hold an orthodox view on human relationships and sexuality and are members of the New Wine network.
St Cuthbert\'s Church is located in Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire. The city is located within easy reach of the Lake District (a 45-minute drive), Morecambe Bay & Fylde coast, the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales, and the Forest of Bowland. Fulwood itself covers most of the north part of Preston and has many local amenities. The neighbourhood has many local shops, primary and high schools, pubs, libraries, supermarkets, parks and a large hospital.
We are praying for a vicar who:
\xc2\xb7 Is fired by the love of God, a warm, approachable person with a good sense of humour and who acts with humility & grace. Someone who lives with integrity in their private life as well as in their role in church.
\xc2\xb7 Is a team leader with a servant heart, who can lead from the front, listening to God for a clear vision, whilst building on what we already have. Someone who will encourage all members\' ministry, empowering & enabling others in their strengths.
\xc2\xb7 Can offer engaging, relevant, Bible-based teaching delivered in a creative way that speaks to people on different levels, of all ages, those new to faith & mature Christians. Someone who is excited by the scriptures & enjoys teaching others as well as being committed to lifelong learning themselves.
\xc2\xb7 Has experience working out in the community, to be able to further our community outreach with a deep desire to share God\'s love, engaging with new people alongside the existing fellowship.
\xc2\xb7 Is spirit filled with wisdom & discernment. Someone who is a good listener but also a good communicator, recognising, encouraging GIFTS & developing gifts in others.
\xc2\xb7 Is not afraid to get really involved with people, spend time with them and has a real heart for those in need. Someone who can meet people where they are at and encourage others in the congregation to do the same.
