If you're looking for a flexible vet role where you can develop your skills and pursue areas of interest, then we have a great opportunity here for you at Leeds Kirkstall Vets for Pets!
We're generous with our CPD offering, which colleagues are actively encouraged to use to further their interests and develop their skills in a direction of their choosing. So, if you want to pursue a post graduate qualification or certificate, we're happy to help support that.
We have a welcoming and inclusive team, our lead vet is a medicine certificate holder so would be great if we could find a surgical certificate holder to compliment that. Being so close means we get up to a number of activities such as hiking, singing, crocheting, dancing, wild food foraging, book club and of course, socials. Our practice provides excellent facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients.
Our practice is in a great location, within an even greater city; Leeds is the third largest and one of the fastest growing, greenest cities in the country. Leeds can be easily accessed by road, rail and air, making it the perfect place to work and live. Award-winning parks are nearby and an added bonus of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside is right on our doorstep, making this a great location to explore on your time away from the practice.
We're ideally looking for someone to work full time (40 hours per week) with no OOHs and Saturdays are on a 1:3 rota basis with limited cover to keep it fair for everyone.
A competitive salary based on experience, up to 65,000, as well as all the standard benefits you'd expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home), and relocation packages from within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship if needed (we're an A+ rated sponsor).
You should have small animal experience gained as a general practitioner, and great people skills. You will be comfortable with sole charge but will also relish being part of a team.
