Veterinary Receptionist (Full Time )

You will be supporting our team of Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses and Animal Nurse Assistants at our busy Veterinary Hospital on the Upper Knockbreda Road

At reception, you'll use your excellent customer service skills to welcome and assist clients before, during and after every visit. Although you don't need to have hands-on experience working with pets, a love of animals and their welfare is essential. From handling busy telephone lines and arranging appointments to taking payments, entering test results, and ensuring the consult rooms are fully stocked, you'll enjoy a busy and varied front-of-house role. You'll also take ownership of ensuring the reception and waiting areas always look their best.
Responsibilities
Greeting clients and providing exceptional customer service and care
Phone answering and scheduling appointments
Receiving and processing payments and prescriptions
Using Practice Management system to update patient information, uploading of documents and other administration around patient records
General admin duties to include monitoring and responding to emails
Qualifications
English and Maths Grade C and above
The successful candidate will have previous receptionist or customer facing experience, as well as a love for animals, although no prior animal care experience is required. This position will best suit a proactive, initiative-taking and enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exceptional communication skills. You will be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure and priorities your workload whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition. Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable but not essential.
Driving License and own transport required
Hours 40 per week to include
Evening shifts and weekend shifts ( Saturday mornings & Sunday mornings ) on a rota basis
Flexible weekday shifts for remainder of hours
