Role Summary:
As a Vessel Compliance Coordinator working for MRE, reporting to the Marine Superintendent, your tasks and responsibilities will be but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Managing safety reporting across MRE\'s fleet of vessels, including actions and close outs;
\xc2\xb7 Reviewing & Implementing MRE\'s HSEQ policies with the Masters to ensure the execution of those policies;
\xc2\xb7 Action and close out of matters which affect safe operations or pollution risk with the assistance of the General Manager and/or the Marine Superintendents;
\xc2\xb7 Review of MRE\'s Safety Management System and ensuring compliance with ISM;
\xc2\xb7 Updating the SMS as per findings of internal and external audits as well as annual & Master\'s review;
\xc2\xb7 Create and manage a plan for audits & inspections of all vessels as required. Keeping the General Manager & Marine Superintendent fully advised of audit & inspection plans.
\xc2\xb7 Carry out review of Risk Assessments and Procedures and maintain risk registers.
\xc2\xb7 Oversee and record monthly departmental HSEQ meetings.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure that the Company HSEQ system aligns with the Safety Management System in accordance with ISM Code requirements and includes all related national and international maritime legislation, guidance and conventions.
\xc2\xb7 Assist in ensuring that the Company\'s HSEQ system maintains its compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 / 14001 and ISO 45001 (OHSAS 18001).
\xc2\xb7 Provide Marine HSEQ support to the Chartering Manager during tender preparation and execution.
\xc2\xb7 Record and produce safety statistics across MRE\'s fleet of vessels;
\xc2\xb7 Deputy Designated Person to provide cover when DPA unavailable.
\xc2\xb7 Ensuring that all documentation that is designated as "controlled" is up to date and issued;
\xc2\xb7 Ensuring that all MRE vessels comply with all appropriate rules, regulations, codes and guidelines;
\xc2\xb7 Provide cover and assistance to the Marine Superintendent as and when required.
