Requests for unique and niche designs, have accelerated during 2024 as T.50 customer deliveries have begun and the car's profile as the ultimate supercar for the road has increased following media reviews and international promotional appearances. The new division, with an independent structure, and engineering team, has been formed to meet these special requests now and in the future.
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Validation Engineer specialized in automotive systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in writing test requirements from system and high-level vehicle requirements and performing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), and vehicle-level testing. This role demands proficiency in using Vector tools for data logging and analysis, as well as strong project management skills for test case ownership, including driving the development and execution of DVP (Design Validation Plan) test cases. The candidate must also possess a valid driving license and be comfortable performing vehicle tests on-site.###
Key Responsibilities
Test Requirements & Documentation:
Develop and write detailed test requirements based on system specifications and high-level vehicle requirements.
Ensure all test requirements are traceable, clear, and comprehensive to guide validation activities.
Test Execution & Analysis:
Perform
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)
and
Model-in-the-Loop (MIL)
testing to validate automotive systems before physical vehicle testing.
Lead and execute
vehicle-level testing
to ensure that automotive systems meet the required functional and performance specifications.
Utilize
Vector tools
for logging, data collection, and analysis to assess system behaviour and identify any discrepancies or issues.
Project Management & DVP Test Cases Ownership:
Take full ownership of
Design Validation Plan (DVP)
test cases, ensuring that all tests are defined, planned, and executed according to the project's needs and timelines.
Manage the lifecycle of DVP test cases, from initial design to final execution, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Report on test progress, document test results, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with system engineers, development teams, and suppliers to align on test requirements, priorities, and timelines.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the proper implementation of test cases and timely resolution of any issues identified during testing.
Data Logging & Reporting:
Utilize
Vector tools
for detailed logging of test data and perform in-depth analysis of vehicle and system performance during testing.
Analyse collected data to assess system behaviour, identify failures, and recommend corrective actions.
Vehicle Testing & Driving:
Conduct real-world vehicle tests to verify functionality, performance, and safety of automotive systems in dynamic driving conditions.
Ensure that vehicle testing is performed safely and in compliance with relevant safety protocols and regulations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive validation or a related field.
Strong understanding of automotive system architecture and functional validation processes.
Proven experience performing
HIL
,
MIL
, and
vehicle-level testing
in the automotive domain.
Proficiency in
Vector tools
for data logging, logging analysis, and diagnostic purposes (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.).
Experience in developing and executing
Design Validation Plan (DVP)
test cases.
Strong project management skills with a focus on tracking test case progress, managing test resources, and meeting deadlines.
A valid
driving license
is required, and the ability to drive a vehicle for testing purposes is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN.
Knowledge of automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE) is a plus.
Familiarity with simulation tools and software for MIL/HIL testing.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues during testing and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced, development-driven environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
