Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Duties

Operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations efficiently and safely. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays promptly. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries and manage inventory effectively. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients upon delivery.

Skills

Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience. Familiarity with delivery routes and logistics operations. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous, including loading and unloading procedures. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential.
