Unit Lead/Charge Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
Oversee delivery of person-centered care to residents
Manage complex clinical needs (dementia, palliative care, etc.)
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and NMC guidelines
Lead medication rounds and treatment administration
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor nursing/care staff (10-15 team members)
Conduct staff appraisals and performance reviews
Manage shift patterns and staff rotas
Lead daily handovers and clinical meetings
Quality & Compliance:
Maintain accurate care plans and documentation
Conduct clinical audits and risk assessments
Implement infection control protocols
Handle safeguarding concerns and incidents
Essential Requirements:
Valid NMC registration
(RGN or RMN)
Minimum 2 years' care home experience
6+ months in a supervisory role
(e.g., Senior Nurse, Team Leader)
Strong knowledge of
CQC standards and elderly care
Excellent
