We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Leader to join our established and experienced Delegated team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.

Your role



The purpose of this role is to lead a team who underwrite referrals from partners in UK Delegated to deliver our service and ensure we operate within the risk parameters.



Your role will involve leading a team of underwriters, with a focus on supporting and motivating our people. You will assist the Head of Delegated Underwriting Hub in monitoring delivery of underwriting quality and service level agreements. You will make decisions within your own underwriting licence authority and obtain approval for risks outside of this authority.



You will help to maintain excellent relationships with our partners, attending relevant external meetings and possibly support with fieldwork on Underwriting Technical Audits.

About you



To be successful in your role it is essential that you have underwriting experience in either Commercial Property, Commercial Liability or Commercial Motor and hold a relevant licence within at least 1 of these areas. You will have experience of delivering customer-centric underwriting service to brokers/partners and be able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.



Previous experience of people leadership would be useful but is not essential as this role will provide an opportunity to develop these skills.
