Job Description

The Role:



Assess and approve or reject loan applications based on the borrower's financial situation, property valuation, legal aspects, and the lender's risk appetite. They conduct thorough due diligence to ensure the loan is viable and complies with lending criteria and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with management to ensure the profitability of insurance contracts by evaluating applicants' eligibility for loans. Assess and approve or reject loan applications based on the borrower's financial situation, property valuation, legal aspects, and the lender's risk appetite. They conduct thorough due diligence to ensure the loan is viable and complies with lending criteria and regulatory standards.

Role Responsibilities:



Loan Administration & Underwriting:

Manage and underwrite pipeline of loans within our criteria. Review legal documents, valuation reports, KYC, AML, and other essential checks. Perform due diligence and key checks (land registry, credit checks). Present property loan cases to Line Manager for funding. Support complex loan assessments and decisions on loan terms and values. Identify and prevent fraud, ensuring business protection.

Communication & Relationships:



Build and manage relationships with brokers and borrowers. Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with external stakeholders. Mentor junior underwriters and administrators. Proactively identify new lending opportunities to meet personal targets. Participate in team meetings and share best practices.

Key Performance Indicators:



High-quality loan applications and successful underwriting processes. Ability to manage and convert high volumes of underwriting cases. Excellent judgment and data quality in case files. Competent understanding and underwriting of deals.

Role Requirements:



Experience in underwriting or lending, especially in bridging loans or Buy to Let Mortgages. Strong risk assessment and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence key networks.Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Excel and CRM.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
