Our High Growth Company Creation team specialises in spinning out new high-growth companies from Scottish universities to build a successful entrepreneurship ecosystem in Scotland.



We're looking for an undergraduate candidate, no matter your background or academic subject, to work with our dynamic team to deliver projects with real impact.

A major focus of your placement will be creating a best practice portal for university-led entrepreneurship in Scotland. It will include useful information on early-stage investors, experienced commercial champions who support spinouts, and technology transfer offices.



Your curiosity and enthusiasm will help build a lasting nationwide understanding of how universities turn ideas into businesses.

Responsibilities





Your responsibilities will include:


Gathering information on and examples of best practice from technology transfer offices, UK and international investors, and successful commercial champions Designing a creative way to share best practice and lessons from Scotland's university-based entrepreneurial community Comparing Scotland's entrepreneurial results with those of other countries

This programme welcomes applications from undergraduates who are in the early stages of their degree studies.



Your skills, experience, traits, and strengths should include:


A talent for relationship building - you can quickly form connections with colleagues and create mutually advantageous links Curiosity and ambition to learn about and understand the full ecosystem through research and engagements An innovative, creative mindset - you'll form a new system, which will be used by many stakeholders across Scotland Self-management skills and the ability get things done on time Education to SCQF Level 6

Ideally, but not essentially, you'll also have previous experience or interest in entrepreneurship.
