OC&C Strategy Consultants has the UK's leading B2B Services practice, working with clients in areas including Construction and Infrastructure, Support Services, Outsourcing and Automotive Services.These industries are characterised by challenging strategy problems which require original thought, and we require people of the highest intellectual calibre who thrive on novel thinking. It is less important that you have deep expertise in the sectors - we can rapidly help you build that.This role primarily involves managing the OC&C project team of 3-6 consultants. Although you will be involved in business development, your primary contribution here will be in assisting the Partners or in generating demand for repeat business through delivery excellence.About The CandidateResponsibilities:Direct, manage the analysis, design, proposal, implementation and ongoing delivery of consulting projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and customer resultsAssist in client pitches and help with developing client relationshipsRapidly gain acceptance within the company and clients as a very strong, professional manager who can provide clear thought leadershipTranslate strategy and business needs into deliverable designsHelp to position OC&C as leaders in strategy consultancyQualifications:Strong academics: Excellent first degree, preferably with an MBA from a leading schoolSubstantial experience gained partly or entirely in an external strategy consultancy environmentExperience gained within the Services industries where we specialiseOutstanding track record of achieving and exceeding objectivesExperience of managing work streams and small teams is necessaryExcellent leadership qualitiesA proven track record of developing successful relationships at senior executive to Board levelPersonal Specification:Analytical clear thinker who can recognise critical issues and dedicate attention accordingly, a highly numerate individual, who is hypothesis and issue drivenA true appreciation for rigourVery strong communication skills required for internal and external communicationStraightforward, focused attitudeA pragmatic, enthusiastic and structured do-er, with an ability to create and maintain pace whiles ensuring that energies are well focused and channelledHigh business ethics: honesty, respect for the individual and culturally unbiasedCredible at Board level with the ability to relate well to clients and colleaguesAt OC&C we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture in which people of all backgrounds can thrive.
