Kingsley Academy, a leading Alternative Provision Centre based in Wolverhampton, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Tutor to join our committed team. We provide tailored educational support to young people who require an alternative to mainstream schooling, helping them to re-engage with learning, and build confidence..
We need Tutors with Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English for the following:
Construction,
Hair,
Retail,
Music
Mechanics
Responsibilities
and duties
Work with small groups of learners to support the tutor in their lesson delivery.
? Have sector specific knowledge to ensure the best quality of education for the learners
? Ensure consistency in Education and Training.
? Provide educational support as and when required across subjects.
? Aid students with the transition to further education/Careers guidance.
? Provide on-going support (mentoring).
? Report all matters to the Head of School.
? Follow the Active Schemes of Work for each students taking into account their needs and abilities.
? Must keep all information confidential in line with GDPR and Data Protection Policy.
? You will also be expected to carry out any other duty that is in your capability, to assist with the smooth running of the academy.
? Work to the requirements of the staff policies and procedures.
? Support students to increase their confidence and self-esteem by listening to them and devising appropriate strategies.
? Support the agreed action plans for the students, monitoring their progress.
? Monitoring attendance and punctuality of the student.
? Informing Head of School if contacted by relevant professionals and individuals e.g. education psychologist, police and social workers.
? Managing your own professional development through undertaking relevant training and sharing best practice with other staff within Kingsley Academy.
Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students.
Develop engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Assess student performance regularly and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to enhance understanding.
Provide support in various subjects, including but not limited to mathematics, literacy, and science.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes confidence and motivation.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate findings during regular updates.
Requirements

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families.
Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous.
A genuine passion for educating children and helping them succeed academically.
Ability to create a supportive and nurturing environment conducive to learning.
Patience, adaptability, and creativity in teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
