Job Description

As a logical thinker and an efficient worker, you will support successful delivery of our employer-led, participant-centric learning programmes. You will have a Cyber Security, Software Engineering or Data Engineering specialism. You will plan, create and review delivery material to improve performance and participant experience. Your role will span the following key areas of responsibility: Content Creation, Delivery, Assessment, and Development.

New Product Development



Research technical and professional topics to develop new learning materials Create and develop supporting resources including programme handbooks, video and written resources, and quizzes Curate and tailor material for specific deliveries Work with the Product Team and fellow Tutor Practitioners to develop authentic assessment tools Review participant feedback and continuously improve content

Teaching & Assessing



Develop Sessions Plan that meet Scheme of Work (SOW) and Awarding Organisation (AO) requirements Lead and Support training sessions and learning activities Assess participants' work and provide constructive feedback Provide one-to-one support to participants to increase successful outcomes Monitor attendance and follow up on participant absences Provide first-line support for answering participant queries Evaluate and report on delivery performance and identify areas for improvement Uphold organisational policies and best practice in relation to assessment Organise hackathon-style events and socials for participant

Practitioning



Participate in cross-functional, collaborative internal and client-facing development projects Carry out development tasks to support the Engineering Team Keep abreast of emerging technologies in your field and engage in active upskilling in your area of expertise

Progression Opportunities



You will be given regular opportunities to develop your skills and undertake formal training in areas including:

Teaching & Assessment Lean Six Sigma Technical certifications relating to your specialism, e.g. Microsoft, Cisco or AWS certifications
Sustained successful performance in this role will create opportunities for progression into the following roles:

Senior Tutor-Practitioner Product Engineer Cyber Engineer or Data Engineer
Person Specification

Knowledge

Familiarity with and understanding of:

Cloud, Network and/or end point security Threat intelligence Penetration testing and Security Architecture Relevant industry standard software tools and systems Collaborative development methodologies such as Agile or DevSecOps
Skills

You will have some or most of the following skills and willing to develop the remainder:

Creativity and innovation Strong verbal communication skills Presentation and report writing skills Organised, structured approach
