Tutors United is an award-winning social enterprise on a mission to use the power of tutoring to break down barriers in education and enable every child to succeed. We deliver confidence-boosting, attainment-raising group tutorials to year 5 & 6 primary school pupils in Maths and English. But we need your help! Currently we are on the lookout for tutors to join us on this exciting journey.

About the role:



Delivering at least two hours of Maths or English to a class of six Year 5- Year 6 students per week (with opportunities for more hours if you wish!). Using our resources and lesson plans to deliver lessons, games and activities. Providing written lesson feedback for parents. Attending and participating in our professional skills-focused training days throughout the year. In person vacancy available to lead tuition classes at

The Market Place Social, Parklands, Conleach Road, Speke, Liverpool, L24 0TY

No prior experience required; we just ask that you:



Have a

6 or above

(B or above) in

Maths & English

at GCSE level Will be studying at

undergraduate

level as of September 2024 (we welcome and accept candidates from all subject areas!). Are happy to tutor at least once per week on a

weekday afternoon

(between 4.00pm-6.00pm). Attend a compulsory tutor training session online. Attend our three compulsory training & development events throughout the 2024/25 academic year. Have an existing right to work in the UK. Share our vision to close the attainment gap in education. Are punctual, keen to take on responsibility, and have a can-do attitude
