Salary: FC6 29,508.69 - 32,437.03 (Pro-Rata)



Working Pattern: 2.5 Hours per week, 40 weeks per year (hours are to be discussed at interview)

Community Use is the team that works hard to ensure most of the Halls, Community Centres and Schools in Fife are available for everyone to enjoy learning, leisure, life, and cultural events. Together with amazing partners we deliver a fantastic programme of inclusive pursuits including physical activity & sport, performing arts, arts & crafts, cookery, modern languages, and vocational training. We also offer space for meetings, celebrations, and community events in both modern and historical buildings usually found in the heart of the Kingdom's city, towns, and villages. Based at Queen Anne High School Community Use you will be responsible for providing a fun, enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere, whilst encouraging participation in a structured but informal setting. You will be expected to participate in encouraging the public to want to be active, join in and have a good time - all contributing to their health and wellbeing, fitness and social engagement.


Focusing on the commitments of the Community Use Plan, and reporting to the Lead Officer, you will plan and deliver a balanced programme of learning, leisure or recreational activities which meet identified needs in the local community.


An example working pattern would be 1 or 2 evenings/sessions per week depending on demand for class as part of the community use programme on a 40 week school term time basis.

The Person



We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a good knowledge and understanding of their specific discipline and good customer service skills.


In addition, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate good communication skills and be customer focussed, you should also be a well-organised individual.


The successful applicant must also:


Be assertive, confident and level-headed when dealing with people at all levels. Have experience in leading activity sessions. Be flexible and able to work on their own initiative. Have excellent team working skills. Be methodical and well-organised. Have qualifications in their chosen field and/or be educated to SCQF Level 6

You may be required to obtain a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership or disclosure check for this role.
