Job Description
Purpose of Role
To contribute to the strong governance of Northern Ireland Hospice, working at a strategic level to ensure that the organisation meets its charitable objectives. To deliver the duties and responsibilities of a Company Director as set out in the Companies Act(s) and those of a Trustee, as required by law and the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
Experience Required
Experience of working at a senior management or governance level. This can be in the voluntary, public or private sectors. Experience of operating at a strategic level, including strategic planning and development. Experience in executive level financial decision making and have a high degree of financial acumen. Expertise in customer relationship management and knowledge of digital development and digital transformation strategies.Key requirements for the role include: -
Sharing collective responsibility as a Trustee for the continuing development of a quality assurance framework that identifies, meets and exceeds required professional and regulatory standards. Providing advice and guidance to the Board of Trustees on quality-of-care issues in relation to the services provided by NI Hospice including safety, quality and experience of care provided. Providing advice and guidance to the Board on matters relating to professional regulation and associated requirements.Please Note: This role is unremunerated.
