Our Transportation Department Needs You! Transport Supervisor Required

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Transportation Supervisor is accountable for the daily operations of our transportation department. This role involves leading the driving team to ensure they are well-prepared to provide exceptional service and punctuality to our clientele, all while upholding our company\'s adherence to transportation regulations and health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• The Transport Supervisor will plan, coordinate, and fulfil the day-to-day transportation needs of the organisation, including arranging optimal routing and loading of vehicles to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Planning and coordinate servicing, maintenance, and mandatory MOT assessments for the vehicle fleet also falls to the Transport Supervisor.
• Utilise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge, motivate, and enhance operational effectiveness on a weekly basis. You will also supervise team performance and deliver feedback through weekly team briefings, offering training and growth opportunities where necessary.
• Take charge of addressing delivery and order-related challenges, implementing requisite solutions whilst ensuring unwavering compliance with transportation regulations and efficient fleet management.
• Identify periods of heightened demand and maintain robust communication between the transportation and customer service departments.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid driver\'s license.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in health and safety protocols and relevant legislation.
